Ubiety Demo
For those of you who may be wondering about the Ubiety chat plug-in, you can check out a live version at http://demo.paydensutherland.com. Just register for an account for that WordPress installation and you’ll see the chat bar after logging in. I’m currently trying to come up with some ideas for the plugin as well. I’d like to think about persistence of the connection across pages. Also, I’m thinking of eschewing Pusher’s service for my own web socket thing. I might even end up writing a PHP extension for easy PHP WebSockets server endpoints. I don’t like the idea of forcing users to register for a third party application to use my plugin. Then again, if you have a problem with it. There’s always AjaxChat. You just have to deal with the polling overhead :/ Oi. Look for some new stuff soon.
