AjaxChat

AjaxChat is the horribly unoriginal name for the WordPress plug-in I have written to allow communication and collaboration between viewers of blogs. It provides a simple, intuitive interface to connect with other people who are currently viewing the same blog. The plug-in, while fully functional, is still in it’s early stages. Expect it to be buggy, for now. The most common reason for it not working on a certain blog has been theme issues. AjaxChat uses certain hooks or attachments to the theme to insert the lines calling the JavaScript and CSS. So, in a nutshell, please ensure your theme has a <?php wp_head(); ?> line in it’s header.php (usually located in wp-content/themes/themename/header.php) and also a <?php wp_footer(); ?> line in it’s footer.php (usually located in wp-content/themes/themename/footer.php.) These two problems are by far the most common. Any bugs you find can be submitted to payden@paydensutherland.com or submitted as a comment here. Below are links to the latest zip file and latest tar.gz as well as GPG signatures of the files.
